Eight Months

Life is so much fun with you, Wesson! Here are a few notes on you at 8 months:
*You weigh 15.5 lbs and are 25.5" tall.
*You have 3 teeth but teeth constantly trying to get your other top tooth to come out.
*You say "ma,ma,ma,ma" when you are talking but we know "da" and "ba" are in there somewhere too.
*You babble all the time and scream to hear how loud you can be.
*You are still sleeping from 9 or so until 7:30. On lazy Saturdays, you will watch cartoons until your tummy can't stand the hunger one second longer.
*You wear a 6m in most everything but still some 3-6m, not really approaching 6-9m, 9m or 6-12m. It has really thrown your wardrobe off, by I cannot complain about the shopping!
*You love your Passy! You have it mastered night and day... we are so grateful!
*Your lovey is always your bestest friend. You play with other toys but just melt when you see a lovey.
*You eat very well all day. Fruits are your favorite and you demand to have at least a drop on each spoonful - no matter what you are eating. It makes for some strange combinations, but oh well!
*You are beginning to give signals that self-feeding might be on the horizon. Oh, you are going to be so messy! So we will work on that and a sippy cup for a while.
*You are sitting up great! It was most definitely the turning point for Mama and Daddy from baby to more infant-like. You enjoy the independence and can finally entertain yourself without us in the room when the house needs a little TLC.
*You are oh-so close to crawling, but we think you are just not that into it. In the past several days, you have been on your hands and knees ready to go... and nothing. BUT... at the same time, when you are standing you have really started to figure out stepping. We are not sure that you will ever crawl since you have moved on to pulling up and stepping. It should be an interesting next few weeks.
*You are just the happiest, most friendly, nosey boy in the world. For example, you woke up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday and were in the worst mood all day. But we had to go to the grocery. You got in the buggy and did not make a peep until you woke up from your nap at 7:30! You talked to everybody you saw, touched everything that came close to you, made sure Mama put each item in the right place in the buggy, chewed on every toy on your cart cover, were fascinated with the checkout process, then crashed in your car seat before we could out of the parking lot. I somehow got you to your bed when we got home and you slept until supper time.

You are the best thing that has happened to us and we love you bunches and bunches and bunches! Here are your pictures with your monkey...
